Welcoming guests to your property is a breeze with OcuGate's advanced access control features. Whether you're expecting visitors, or service providers like delivery personnel, contractors, or maintenance staff, OcuGate lets you grant access seamlessly and securely. Here's how you can set up guest access and some best practices to ensure optimal usage.
Open the OcuGate App: Start by launching the OcuGate app on your smartphone. Make sure you're logged in to your account.
Navigate to the Guests Section: Once on the dashboard, navigate to the "Guests" section of the app.
Add a New Guest: Tap the "+ Add" button to add a new guest. You'll need to provide some basic information about the guest such as their name and contact details.
Configure Access Permissions: Define the level of access you want to provide to your guest. This can range from one-time access to recurring access at specified times. You can also limit their access to specific dates and times if required.
Share Access: Once the guest's access level is configured, an invitation will be sent to the guest via SMS or email based on the contact information you've provided. The guest can use the link in the invitation to open your gate without the need for the app.
Limit Access Time: To maintain security, it's a good idea to limit your guest's access to only when it's necessary. OcuGate allows you to set specific access periods for each guest. For instance, if a cleaning service visits your home every Tuesday between 10 am and 2 pm, you can set access for this exact period.
Use One-Time Access: Use the one-time access feature for deliveries or one-off visits. This ensures that access to your property is granted only once, and the access is automatically revoked afterward.
Review Access Logs Regularly: Regularly check your access logs to keep track of all entries and exits. This can help you figure out any irregularities and take the necessary actions.
Use Guest Groups: If you frequently have the same guests, consider creating guest groups. For instance, you can create a group for 'Delivery Personnel' or 'Maintenance Staff'. This can help streamline access management.
Please make sure that the contact information for your guests is up-to-date. If you have changed service providers or a guest's contact details have changed, update this information in the app.
Remember, OcuGate's top priority is to keep your property secure while offering flexibility and convenience. Setting up guest access is a powerful tool for managing your property access effectively. Follow these best practices to make the most out of your OcuGate system.
