Using OcuGate’s History Log to Monitor Access Activity
Monitoring gate activity is crucial to maintaining security and visibility on your property. With OcuGate's History Log feature, you can easily keep track of all access activities. This article will guide you on how to use this feature effectively.
Step 1: Access the OcuGate App
Open the OcuGate app on your device. Ensure you're logged in with your registered account.
Step 2: Navigate to the History Log
On the main dashboard, look for the 'History Log' feature. This is typically represented by an icon resembling a clock or a list. Tap this icon to view the activity log.
Step 3: Understand the Log Entries
In the History Log, you'll see a list of all access events. Each entry typically includes the following:
Event Time: The date and time the event occurred.
User: The user who initiated the event. This could be a registered user or a guest.
Action: The action that took place, such as 'Gate Opened,' 'Gate Closed,' etc.
Method: The method used for the action, such as 'Mobile App,' 'Text', 'Manual,' etc.
Step 4: Filter the Log
To narrow down the entries, use the filter options. You can filter by date range, user, action, and method. This is particularly useful when looking for specific events or analyzing access patterns over time.
Step 5: Access Detailed Information
You can view more detailed information about the event by tapping on a specific log entry. This can include the device used, the IP address, and other relevant details.
Step 6: Export the Log
If you need to save or share the log information, OcuGate allows you to export the log. You can export the data as a CSV or PDF file, save it to your device, or share it via email.
